We will work together to peel back the layers into understanding the cause behind your addiction and this will be using mainly a cognitive approach. It is important the we understand how your thoughts and emotions and core beliefs shape your view of the world and how you react to situations, in other worlds your behaviour. In the sessions I will really get you to challenge and recognise any thought distortions and move you to a place where you can not only recognise these but challenge and replace them with more productive thinking. As part of the process I will require you to do exercises in and outside the session room and require commitment from you to undertake and commit to these. I must stress that there is no quick fix here but a partnership to get to the root cause and resolve underlying issues.

In the sessions we will explore the trigger points behind your addiction and your strategy to maintain the addiction including recognizing the benefits you derive - in other words ‘ what are the benefits’? and more importantly what price do you pay for those benefits?

Using NLP we will then break down piece by piece the processes step by step supporting the addiction? We can now start creating a new picture of you and how your life will look being free of the addiction. This will prove to be very powerful, as it is reprogramming how you view yourself and creating a new you, a you that is free to choose and you choose to be free of its clutches. NLP will remove any self limiting beliefs that you may have and provide you with coping strategies to ensure that the changes ‘stick’ and last!
